My ride starts on thurs with a 110km adv ride to Nelson followed by a busy day in town then a quick dash thru to catch the 7pm boat then a bit of late night orienteering to find Steves place....
Must have been quietly excited today as I put 6 holes in a new tube while doing my tyre changes

    Hey Mark & Gav...

The plan is to meet Bart at his house and then on to Ashhurst...

    See you there

There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

Righto - knobbed up, geared down, gassed up & ready. See y'all Saturday, is it 'roll in the gate at 10am' or 'be there unloaded, suited up, warmed up & ready to rock at 10am'?

I've put the cash in your a/c for the barracks Buggs.

    Cheers

Meet you at the gate at 10am - if people get in earlier just text or call me. There's only 5 rolling on on Saturday so once you's are in then we can head out yonder.

As an aside, I will now be travelling up on Friday - may tag along with the main group to Takapari, TBC. Late change in work circumstances...

Wow, Iceland is eerily similar to the Central Plateau! This is exactly the same volcanic terrain as we'll find under the mountain on Saturday.

    Friday Route North

Hey, I know you's fullas are heading out Takapari Rd way, Now that I'm heading up tomorrow myself I'm thinkin I might tag along from Waikanae.

How long you thinking it will take? There's a couple of roads I wouldn't mind checking out west of SH1 / Taihape. I sort of need to be in Waiouru mid afternoonish so if worst comes to worst I will just cut away and head north to get my range briefing and pick up my roads on the way back instead.

Is everyone doing Takapari Rd or are others riding up the main drag?
