thats cool. and not obnoxiously loud either by the sound of it.

One thing: how freakin' tall are you? because the last shot when you stand up seems to have the camera POV in the damn rafters!

195cm in the old currency. Plus boots, plus helmet, plus a little bit for the camera mount - the lens is probably sitting at 205cm when standing.

I prefer the camera mounted on the bike, but there was nowhere to fix it - the bars are like 2" and there were no other mounting points, so on the mellon it went. Shame - cause it gets more wind noise than engine purr.

The Turbo Road King Chopper I rode last week was equally wick-ed and I could mount the camera lower - Watch this space :-)

Very neat indeed Dave, was that 145lb/ft I saw.....
One question (I have no sound at the moment, so if it's explained, forgive me)
Is it intercooled? I couldn't see one, but there's a funny black cooler-end-tank-esque bit under the fuel tank.
I'd be a wee bit worried if it's non intercooled if you're doing a decent length ride.

I wait for a Turbo Rocket3 video by you now

Funny how me XN is not equiped with blow-off valve nor intercooler.

Judging by what is de riguer with the boy-racer set it's a wonder it even moves...

    Anyhoo, back on topic...

Does it have a boost dumping system for when you close the butterfly under boost? Compressor surge does sound cool.

Wait, it's fucked Scummy boy, send it up here.

What, you mean like a blow-off valve?

Most turbo cars have a blow-off/dump valve as standard, just they vent back into the intake and you don't hear them (unless you add a pod filter). Boy racers (and maaaaybe me in a previous incarnation) slap on externally venting dump valves, cos it's worth at least 15% more hp if your car sounds like bus doors opening when you change gear.

WRC and turbo drag cars tend not to use dump valves and I have seen plenty of evidence that dump valves actually don't do anything to reduce lag, or protect the turbo against supposed shockwaves caused by the throttles suddenly being slammed shut...

Anyways, waste-gate chatter is where it's at!

There are earlier systems than a blow off valve, I am somewhat familiar with the workings of a typical turbo set up
I've seen a few CT12A turbos die due to compressor surge because of stuck/fucked blow off valves. The shockwaves can [potentially] stop the turbo wheel abruptly, this is not so brilliant for the bearings....
As for lag, no I don't suppose they really help at all, people like to think so, but all you're doing is dropping the pressure between the cold side of the turbo and the butterfly, not really the best anti-lag idea...
Speaking of anti lag, I have a mate running an anti-lag system (not constant, it's not very economical when you do...nor does unburned fuel in the turbo help much)

I've been there with the piiitsssshhhhh phase...that didn't last long thankfully.
I'd have a dirty vent-to-atmo BOV on the bike if I turbo it...same goes for the waste gate. Just to be a show off twat.
