    Question XT225 Serow noise issue

    got my partner a xt225 serow and it goes well so now shes got a 4t and loving it but i notice a little rattle in the motor would this mean i should take it in and get a new cam chain ?
    any help would be great cheers.

    More likely the cam chain tensioner needs adjustment ...

    sweet thanks for that will get it into bike shop to do when they do new sprockets and chain

    i just have done a complete oil change and filter and now the noise seems to have gone the old oil had a bit of sand and was black like tar
    should i re change the oil again after paeora trial ride next week any help or recomendations would be great

    I would you could even go as far as running it for a good 10 15 minute before and replacing it did you do filter as well?

    yip did that and have also orderd 2 more filters but the noise has gone so after her trial ride i will do the piston/rings and cam chain just to make sure it gets some love and will stiffen the suspension as she finds it is way to soft and it drops down a bit to much for her
