    Red face Suspension help wanted

hi guys im new to the dirt bike scene and have got myself a xt225 1994 of trade me but i find its a bit low and would like to no how can i make it a bit stiffer in the rear as when i sit on it i feel it hitting the base when i go up and down on it.
or can i go to a more heavier rear shock or spring as im still learning to ride i would be happy to get a height of 50mm as the bike is 810mm but if i cant raise the height can i do something about the rear shock thanks

The shock could just need a service, may have a bad seal leaving it oil and gasless. good luck

    Hi Kath

Your shock will have some adjustability. PreLoad is what it is called. most bikes of that size will be set for a 85kg rider. a trip to Waikato Yamaha will cost you bucks. if you come over here I will get you sorted with no labour charge and if the shock needs replacing I can do a range of shocks way cheaper than genuine Yamaha. I have 12 different shocks available They are between 265mm and 395mm in length and vary between $150 and $355.
