Good to hear your home and recovering Dave. Was really worried about the extent of your injuries when I heard you were thinking Harley Davidson.

See you an KB event or something sometime soon I hope. Sorry for not getting down to visit you in hosiptal.

    Regards Garry

Damn, it Dave- you just had to rush home, didn't ya? You do realise you foiled some very impressive homecoming plans, I hope...?
    Selfish as ever, pffft.

Seriously, though- I am so impressed with the speed of your recovery. You rock, young man. And don't try to pretend you didn't enjoy those sponge baths- we all know that's what you wanted to stay for...

Perhaps you or Vtwin could PM me your addy and I'll be able to finally send you this postcard etc that's been sitting accusing me for the last week...

Much love & big hugs, Jazza

Hi Dave - good to read your home-coming post! Here's hoping you heal up sooner rather than later and perhaps we'll being seeing you at the Wild Oats or Flying Fish for a brew in the not too distant future.

    Cheers

Once again, thanks for all the good wishes. I've been taking it really easy over the past few days, spending only a few mins on KB That means there's no way I can keep up to date like I used to, at the moment anyway

There is a small chance I'll have to go back to hospital for a few days to get some I.V. antibiotics. That doesn't impress me much, but I'll see if I can choose a more comfortable hospital, privte maybe (where people come instantly when you ring the bell)

Time will tell if I can and want to get back on a bike??..... And those unsure about Harley's should testride the new V-Rod I did, and loved it. They are pretty damn quick I can tell you. I also tested another feature and you CAN lift one hand to wave to passing bikes

What do you people think of a trike? Not a car, not a bike so really a class of their own. Might be an option depending on the circumstances.

A trike? Well, you'd need to grow a beard and start talking incomprehensibly - hey, if it works for Billy Connolly, you could be in!

Don't know if it would be much of a babe magnet though, so if you're thinking of picking up chicks, you could be out of luck!

Trike? if you need to so be it, it's YOUR life and YOUR decisions, listen to others when it's true advice and not biased opinion!!

Good to see you are recovering, S.C. I thought the trike that Billy Connolly rode was fantastic and form what I read on this forum, most other people thought so too.

    You just rest easy mate..

Now to talk about a "Trike" go for one.

Best person to chat to who has one is "Krusti's" wife....
so PM "Krusti" and find out how they handle etc...

I reckon the day I can no longer ride a bike then I will go to a trike...
as they do look like fun.. only problem is thou that you can't lane split at peak traffic...

Dave if a trike is what it takes to get you out and about on rides then I'm all for it! (Betcha everyone will want to have a go on it if you do get one!) There's a guy out on Blue Mountain Rd doing motorbike tours who has a trike as well. Maybe once you're better you can look at going out on that and see how it feels. I've got his card somewhere, or ask Mitch.

In the meantime, here's some happy happy joy joy glittery healing dust blowing your way. xx

    1. Welcome home. You may be apprehensive but it's better being in the "real" world than in hospital.
    2. Welcome back to our gargre. In case you hadn't noticed, we missed you.
    3. There are less extreme ways of meeting nurses.
    4. Pace yourself. Bangs to the head are subversive things and take longer than you may think to come right.
