    Thanks for the compliments guys. Took it for blast on the twisties that go round and through Riverhead forest. Couldn't figure out how to get into there (does anyone know?) so headed north toward Puhoi and went along Ahuroa road cause I knew that was a gravel road. Then headed home. Getting used to the knobbly tyres now. Amazing amount of grip they have, some crazy lean angles you can get with them. Although they might not last too long riding like I was.

    My job for next week if to find more gravel near Auckland.

    forest access is closed in there - you just missed Kaipara 200 Saturday which was all through there and beaches etc - still good places to ride thereabouts Chatham Rd etc, and look out for Port Waikato - Waitomo ride on the Akd Gravel thread next weekend, taking all the delicious south Aucks gravel
