On the road again

YEEHA, Just spent the day puting the motor back in me bike.
Two weeks waiting for parts,couple of hours puting the new cam chain in,fixing some dodgie wiring,solder up a split oil strainer and in she goes.
Half a dozen kicks an she fires up sweet as,walk around looking to see if anything is about to fall off.Looking good so off down the road we go.
Sounding real nice,no more top end rattles.
Ten kms an head for home.Get home an right leg is covered in oil,Oh darn oil flowing out right side cam cover,oil EVERYWHERE.
Pull cam cover off,Bugger Iv,e rolled the oil seal,swear lots an lots.
Pull whole oil seal unit off,check seal,amazing no crease an spring siting on end of cam shaft,put it all back togeather,cheat a little with old trick I was shown way back.
Clean,replace lost oil,fire her up an pray,no leak so go for ride,come home still no leak,clean up some more an head up to Awhitu,bike runs like a clock,get home again still no leak.
Dang life is good.

Yeah mate,the guy lives just up the road from me.
He use to run the motorcycle grave yard in Pukekohe,now works from home an has dang near every XS part you could name,Just not the bits that always wear out,wouldn,t that be right.LOL
