Don't say that - I've been looking forward to it!

Don't forget, it's way cheaper buying your tickets online.

What did they charge for parking?

Parking $5 at cricket club across the road or $6 for show parking at racecourse.

+1. I haven't been for about 5 years. It was a fraction of its former size. There wasn't that much to look at. Watched the drifting show which was good.

And now I'm thinking about the bottle of rum I could have bought for about the same amount of money, and all the hours of enjoyment that would have bought me.

Mebbe I'm just getting old and less demanding, but I took a mate and his son there today and really enjoyed it! There were some great exhibits that I could really drool over, no, not the girls you cynical people, they look like babies to a man my age even if they were pretty an' all...

I spent a lot longer there than I expected to and had some good chats to some very interesting people, including customisers. Met Simon Meads... now there's a man you can look up to, even more so now I've shrunk 2cm since my accident...

One of the highlights for me was the 1953 Maserati which I promptly sent a pic of to my mate who's just bought himself a Maser Quatroporte. He took me for a ride in it the other day and man that Ferrari 4.3lt V8...

The new GSX750R was a sight for sore eyes and has ever been my all-time fav sports bike! The 'Busa beside it looked fabulous in that blue, too! The new 650 ADV looked real nice in the metal and if only I could still ride...

The turbine powered race boat sounded awesome when he fired it up!

The new Contour HD camera was impressive and just a bit better than the Go-Pro, ahd a good chat to the guy there.

We were blown away by the latest incarnation of the 3D Printer! What an awesome machine and anyone involved in CAD CAM should check this out! www.3DPrinting.co.nz At $3k it was a bargain, and could be invaluable in saving time and money on design and modelling of anything! It even makes the moulds!

All in all a good day spent.

I couldnt care less about the cameras, but 3d printers are pretty sweet.

Didnt bother this year, not a bad show, but already went to speedshow earlier this year, that had an F1 car and all sorts of bikes and cars on display.

Anyone else see the epic fail by the moto crosser on Saturday?

Lesson: when it's windy, don't do a superman and let go of the handlebars when you are 60 feet in the air.........
