Hey Ed, as an idea why not buy some shit heap and do it up over the next six months. Although you're not actually riding, it's bloody good fun and you still "stay involved".
But yeah, buy a Spyder. They're fucken cool fun.

1994 1800 manual. 15" alloys, Momo wheel and pedals, small front and rear spoilers, chrome door sills. Air-con pump removed, man they're heavy!
Otherwise stock, but good nick. Plan on getting out and about with it this Summer! Had it three years and only done 7k in it!
Haven't got the time or dollars, mate. My mechanic days are long over, I don't even change my own oil any more...'Sides, I'm not supposed to bend over and lift stuff which makes even washing the car a challenge, let alone doing mechanical stuff.

Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!
Was having a coffee in town today and there were heaps of bikes around(heading for the burt I guess) And I was getting so jelouse. Bastards.![]()
For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
You could also get a second opinion.
One of my mates was told he was unlikely to walk again, said 'bullshit', and now does track days.
Or a full body cast fixing you in the appropriate riding position? Modify an office chair (with a bike-like seating position) so you can still do business stuff in the house too!![]()

Well Edbear I aint going to lie to you.It does hurt and it takes bloody ages to get past it.But hey, the life expectancy goes sky high and the cost of constant upgrading and modifying stops.
I'm only cash strapped presently, but I'm sitting on a bike that's already been off the road for the last 18 months.
Now it needs a New Exhaust, the one I had repaired (welded up ground up and returned to the chromer) blew out at the junction of the rear pipe after just 2 months of pretty heavy use.
OK, I can live with this, even though it's already cost me heaps to repair and re chrome.
Worse, I waited almost the entire 18 months for the painter to finish his work .When he had finished it the great guy brought it over and helped me put it on the bike.He told me he'd never painted anything as nice as this and that he loved it.l did too, believe me.
3 weeks ago I took off for the FBMC Waiheke TT memorial ride, had a great day enjoyed the company and we made some kids bloody happy to see us and accept our days worth of sponsorships and donations.
But when I returned home I nearly cried, ask Mom , she knows how big I am.
Over night petrol had run from the cap all over the tank, both sides and the L/H side cover, leaving scores that have gone right through the hand painted tank clear and paint all the way to the metal.
Yep it's back with the painter/artist.He loves me, he must do, he's doing it again.
Me, well I'm back to the 2 fiddy that the wife kindly lets me ride.
I feel for ya ED, take care mate.
Chins up lads, there's always someone out there that's worse off, though sometimes they're bloody hard to find.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
Caseye I feel your pain! I was paranoid about fuel and very careful when filling up!
I'm good though, lots to be grateful for, esp my wife and children! I'm still walking after breaking my back twice which is something of a miracle and I am really enjoying my business.
I can still post here and the support from so many members means more than one may think.
Thanks everyone!
