    RMX250 questions and lowering question.

RMX250 and dirt bike newbie here. (Coming from a CBR250RR)

May I know what year models of the RM250 are interchangeable with my 2000 RMX250 and are all year models RMX250 the same, like are all RMX250 interchangeable?

Can I replace the metal gas tank to a non-metal one from another RMX250 or RM250?

Can I still follow the Clymer service manual like the power valves, top end...etc since it only talks about 89-95? I have it, but can't seem to find any info about the oil fill bottle that my bike has.

Can I do the top end rebuild and power valves cleaning even if the engine is left on the bike? Manual states I should remove the engine.

Now my main concern about this bike is the height...Am 5'6 or 28inch inseam. One foot, tip toes, epic lean just to touch road and slipping in uphill. So currently I won't be riding this in the street in the meantime because I live in a hilly location till am able to put atleast one whole foot down. So here's my question will a Kouba Link from a 98-2000 RM250 fit? and/or is there any other alternatives to lower it even more? I don't plan on jumping with this bike, but will be doing off roading on sand and open fields.

RMX250's come in different types, most the specs you will get off the net will be for the US models, however we got both these but more commanly the RMX250S models (which were built for the australian market with more road gear on them), which were different in a number of ways, and parts do not interchange,

either take the frame number into a suzuki dealer, or post a pic of the bike, and ill tell you what you have, and ill see if i can remember what fits and what doesn't,

Well I have the road legal RMX250 with oil fill bottle in the back and metal gas tank.

Will PM you the pics and may I know which angles to take or which parts are relevant to take photo?

And noobie question, where can I find the frame number? (Bike is all dirty)

ok, if it is that model. do not bother sending me pics, i have no experince with those models, Only with ADR spec'd RMX250R's and RMX250S, i would suggest no rm motor parts would fit if it came with oil injection, as for body parts, it would be try and find out, but even then it maybe more trouble than its worth

All good. Just wandering do you (or anyone) think lowering links (from Kouba link) from a 98-00 RM250 fit/replace my one? Will post a pic of that part in my bike later this evening if unsure.
