My 4wd is worth 5/8ths of f-all now. The 10 is around 9sh and the Turbo owes me more than the national debt woulda been if labour had got back in.
BUT, money has little to do with it, I mod the crap outta things, and My old Terrano does everything I want reliably, so why buy something newer?

Funny how your priorities change when you own bikes.

I am changing my mind about cars, I have always spent a reasonable amount on cars, but now having been back into bikes for the last 6 years I am not going to spend more than about 10-12K on a car, you can get a good reliable car for that money, above that I reckon is a waste of time, better spent on
bikers, boats , dinner, trips. etc
You like to take bikers on boats and dinner trips?

    I own a $3-4K bike, missus owns a car.

Used to have a 300zx worth about the same as the car (my third Z in fact) but replacing four tyres and regular maintenance on a very thirsty vehicle seemed pointless once I got the bike, since the Z became a garage ornament.

Loved the car to bits, thrashed it at trackdays and whatnot, and it never let me down.
One day Ill buy another, along with a 240zx and harosuka GTR, to keep all the bikes I want to buy company. Did I mention I plan on winning lotto?

Got a station wagon for the wife, and I have a small 4WD which my son uses more than I do. GLORIA is only a learner 250 cruiser, maybe worth less than $3000 but with $900 worth of saddle bags, ScottOiler and heated grips fitted.

GLORIA may only be a 250 learner but she's MY 250 learner!!!!!

Spent plenty on the bike, don't know how much but it's on the high side of $8000.00 at least. The car, well, that's the wifes.

38 bikes later i can honestly say that never in my life have i said to someone "i am a biker",then again my cars worth about 3 times as much as my bike though just to confuse things ive probably spent more than my cars worth on my bike.

I do drink but don't smoke and have the same 'fun' ways to spend money.

Have to say though, my cars are always old dungers, the newest being a 1983 model, can't see the point of losing TOO much money through depreciation...

EDIT: But my four cars are worth about 3 times what the three bikes are...I think. (and hope!)

Haha, nothing wrong with a thirsty vehicle. In my experience the gas useage normally equates to how much fun it is to ride/drive. Then again I may just be trying to make myself feel better after averaging over 19L/100km on the trip to Taupo for BRM round 1

    Ditto to this.

We have bikes and cars galore round this joint.

    5 bikes at present, a 2010 KTM250, 2009 CRF150F, 2008 KTM250 and a 2003 KTM250 (think it's an 03 it's an oldie) oh and the kidlets 2009 PW50
Between the boy and I we have 7 cars. One is not running or on the road (project) but the rest are all sweet.
We also have a jet boat..
We kinda spend money on toys though. Freehold property, so lots of disposable income.

However, don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or anything much else that's a 'bad habit' unless you count my addiction to shopping for clothes, makeup and shoes
