    Quick sale question

    Hi Guys,

Please note this is NOT an ad to sell my bike, just after a bit of advice...

I am being transferred to Singapore for work and unfortunately can't take my beloved with me due to it being (just) over 3 years old. Work has quite a generous relocation package which includes a clause which lets me flick of my vehicles for whatever I can get, and they make up the difference to true market value. This means the pressure on me to get the best price is gone, and someone is going to get a sweet deal on a great bike.

    So...

As it needs to be done in the next week or two and I am flat out with everything else what do you think is my best option:
    Trademe
    Turners
    Selling to a bike shop?
    ...

I am guessing the bike shop is probably easiest for all the paperwork etc, but are they going to give me at least a half decent offer as I really don't want to rip the compay off too much, anything over around 60% of what I could get if I took my time would be ideal.

    Appreciate your thoughts...

What's your companies policy on pet transfers, as I have $170, 2 cats , and a fish (with bowl).

Seriously trademe would be best, as you get the entertainment of all the stupid questions, and the excitement of the final minute bidding.

Your probably to honest to flick it to a mate for a few bucks with the intention of him "buying" it, get paid from your boss then when you get back give your mate some money for storing it, get a new battery and be on your way.

Houseman - What bike is it? If a popular model, you can certainly get a good price on TM. If not, it may not move if on TM and your best option would be a dealer or sell it to a friend... or an enemy if it's ugly and unreliable. Heh! Heh!

It's a honda based on your profile so not worth much. I'll trade you the wife, one careful owner, low mileage, not riden much (we're married), comes with twin airbags and a few other goodies. Plus I'll throw in the cat.

Seriously good luck with the sale. Depends on how much hassle you want. As your employer will reimburse you I'd try flicking it to a bike dealer or even listing it on here for offers (reasonable) as you'll have an idea as to what its worth
