    Hey, I'm new around here.

    Hey Everyone,

Just saying hi for the first time. My name is Adriaan. I just bought my first trail bike. A CRF 450r and I'm waiting for it to be delivered. So I figured I'll come on here and meet some people that are already into riding.

I'm also after some people to ride with. Althought I think I have a lot of riding and practicing to do before I attempt anything too serious. I've been riding my farm 200cc Suzuki. So I'm not a complete newbie, but it's my first time on a higher performance bike like this.

I live West of Huntly in Waikato, not far from Thundercross Valley.

Hey There and welcome, bet ya cant wait for that bike ta turn up. Yep CRF450r is the next logical step after DR200, may I suggest though stuffing the airbox full of socks for your 1st few rides, then begin removing them as you accustom to the Hell power fury that is 450 mxr's.

ha ha yeah, quite logical to go from an asthmatic putput farm bike to a fire-breathing open class monster...

...although in fairness, if you're happy to short-shift and can keep the throttle hand steady, a few rides in and it will all be sweet (hopefully).

I'm Auckland-based, but will be trekking to Thundercross and Kimmy's a few times over summer, now Woodhill is getting soft and unrideable. Always keen for more riding buddies, so happy to hook up and meet you at either.

Sounds good. I'll put in some hours on the farm practicing my "throttle hand" and you can let me know when you're heading out next.

If the weather does what it's supposed to, I'll be heading to Kimmy's on Sat, but I gather that will be too soon for you. I have a regular crew of 4 other mates that will be heading probably a couple of days over Xmas, Kimmy's or Thundercross, will PM you when we're a bit more organised.
