Ive been making graphics for dirt bikes for a while and am toying with the idea of making decals "full kits, part kits, fairings etc" for road/sport bikes, the list of makes and models is endless but would like some feedback as to whether or not you all think this would be viable here in NZ.

Would you consider a graphic application to your machine?

I got broad shoulders, let me have it, hope this in the correct section.
I think youd want to get into the one off custom stuff, where someone emails you a cad or something of their design, you mock it up, they pay if they like it and you make it.

I would think that copies of stock stuff would hardly ever sell.

I can no longer purchase the fairing graphics for my NSR, to keep it stock I'd have to wait for some 2nd hand panels on Ebay Japan. If you could do a 99% accurate repro of the graphics I would buy. I think $300-$400 is about right.

Note - 1 piece printed grahpics.

Are the decals you can produce suitable for external placement over the cleacoat without an overcoat of clear to protect it? Or,...in other words, will the decal be weather proof - so colour doesn't wash out? What I have seen/got and played with myself in the past - didn't work even with a heavy clear application to the decal (prior to application) as the rain etc seeped in through the exposed cut edges and after a few months the decal was starting to fail.
    Regards

Yoh, hey mark, it would effectively be the same stuff you wrap cars, busses etc with, maybe a slightly heavier laminate but thats the general gist - with the right materials it shouldnt come off at all
