    Question Best insurance deal?

    Hi folks,

I am about to buy an insurance for my newly acquired bike (Kawasaki ER Ninja 650, 2008 model), and I did shop online for the best deals. Has anyone dealt with the website “www.kiwibike.co.nz ”? They are brokers and they deal with various insurance companies. They have come back to me with the best deal I could find: $393 per annum with an excess of $500

Obviously they did not tell me yet what insurance company it is, but I was wondering if they are worth the try or if you have any advice or recommendation regarding insurance.

    Cheers,

Kiwibike were the cheapest for me by far, so I grabbed the deal with both hands Can't really see what you have to lose... And I've seen lots of other threads around to recommend them also.

If you're over 30, Classic Cover do very good deals.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Kiwibike quote me $900 to insure me, Protecta quoted me $300ish, exactly the same deal and conditions, my insurance broker girlfriend looked over it and it was all sweet as, guess who got my business!

Please shop around with all of them before you commit, just because they look like a 'bike orientated' place, doesn't mean they will give you the best price!

    Cheers

Dave at Kiwibike is easy to deal with, reasonably priced and down to earth.

I use em, Two high cc bikes with full comprehensive cover, a 250 with 3rd party, a classic in the shed covered for theft and a race bike for theft and transit was only setting me back a little over a k per year !

Have heard nothing but good things re claims through Kiwibike and i think its Star Dave and the crew have me covered with !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

    Protecta Insurance

I use Protecta, have done for a year now, had no issues, though I have never claimed anything. Cheap and have full cover, got trackday cover as well I found out. Am going to see if they can cover my Track bike as well.
Rest in peace Tony - you will be missed.

I'm also with Kiwibike, found their rates and communication to be very good. They will place your business with any one of a number of insurers to meet your needs, so they act as your broker/agent, and at claim time should be there to assist you in getting the best outcome.
