Nah, I reckon the HENRY would be the XA Falcon. Henry would have liked that car I reckon.

For me it was a 'Bonus Built' '48 Ford F-1 truck, I always thought that overhead valve engines were a passing fad.....

FALCONS??? a flighty passing fad for those that thought that less than eight cylinders and more then four doors was a necessity.....

Of course my indulgence in 'Famous Grouse' may not have enhanced my thought process- but that's YOUR opinion!!

More than four doors ?On an XA ? How much of the FG have you had ? Theydid come with V8s (the XA) by the way.

I like side valves m'self. Nice and simple and torquey. Never figured out why they went out of fashion.

And I wish someone would explain to me what is the point of sticking an overhead cam is a DIESEL. Given that side valves can handle 4000 rpm OK and OHV 6000. And a diesel revs to what ? with it's OHC.

Some good points Mr I, as I'm a US car fan I struggle to accept XA onwards 'coons!!
However any Henry product is OK by me!!

Too true about diesel Over-Head cam set-ups, my sv V8's would pull 5,500 - even in reverse!!
My Mistral is good for 7,000rpm but the hydraulic tappets don't like it!

And mt FG whiskey helps me no end!! ( where is Dangerous when I need him??)

Funny enough , yesterday in the courtyard below our appartment was a GT40 , Nice car but I think I'd prefer the 60's version. Had a good look around one a few weeks backat a bike and car show. They are selling for upward of 175,000 pounds because supply hasn't met demand. The show also had the Prototype PS Ducati.

Imagine naming a car after your son, then putting a grill on it that looks like a vagina.

BTW. I'd love to see the N/A street V8 that can RELIABLY put out 1000hp.
Most are limited to 1hp per cubic inch.

Powering the $80K Eleanor is a 302-cid V-8 rated at 325 horsepower and backed up by an automatic or four-speed manual transmission. A custom deluxe black vinyl dresses up the interior, which also benefits from a race-style rollbar, full gauges, a CD stereo system and air conditioning. Outside, the GT-500E is decked out with the same custom-fabricated fiberglass spoilers and scoops, quick-fill gas cap, side-exit exhaust pipes and driving lights Eleanor wore in the movie. Seventeen-inch Edelbrock alloy wheels take the place of the similar Schmidt rims used on the original.

Stepping up to the Performance Package nets everything in the base model plus a 351-cid/430-horsepower V-8, nitrous oxide injection, a six-speed manual transmission and a laundry list of parts that would seem more at home on a NASCAR stocker than a street car. The GT-500E Super Snake features a supercharged 427-cid aluminum V-8 cranking out 750 horsepower.

No but one of my sons has that name!!

It means 'deep thinker' if you look it up.

BTW Edsel was responsible for beautiful cars such as the '33-'34 Ford V8, his abilities were quashed by a domineering old man, I recommend reading the book 'FORD' to find out more.

And WINJA "I SAW A VIDEO OF A SUPRA EVERYDAY DRIVE CAR WITH A 1000+ HP , FUCKEN FAST AND RELIABLE"

They will have turned the boost down so its probably running 'only' 400-500 or something. Otherwise it would blow up on the Northern going to work every day.

Four valve heads, fewer moving parts, variable cam timing. I am coming from a BMW DOHC point of view though
