    Kewl!

Pity it sounds so... so.... weedwackery. Be nice if it was either quieter or had an interesting hum to it.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

The same has been said about 4T dirt bikes I'm sure (apart from the weedwacker comparison)

One of the review I read was that riding it you pick up a lot more of the environment noise, other riders, your own machine's suspension action, roost etc.

Looks cool though, always figured KTM would be the first of the mainstream manufactures to put out an electric.

The future is looking good. Now they just need to release a video of an un-fit, late forties, just got back into dirtbikes after 20 years rider on one to convince me.

I think the real question is:
How much will it suck if you run out of juice and got nowhere to recharge!!!
Its not as if you can borrow some gas...

Would be good if you could simulate any sound to come out of it

you wont have to push it too far, according to the vid and overnight charge only gives you 3 mins running time forgot to take off coffee drinking time so make that 2 minutes

says the freeride e only takes 90 mins to fully charge and this one

    http://www.gizmag.com/ktm-freeride-e...e-specs/20482/

reckons about 20-45 mins riding from fully charged to none

90mins of charging for just 45mins of riding

I think ill wait another 10-20 years for battery technology to catch up......

+1 to that but it's a good signpost on the way to the future - as someone who finds standard MX petrol tanks not big enough for a decent long ride it'll be a while but if ya could get it's running time up about 4-5 hours I'd be keen as mustard
