No need to bite, I Never said the monies went directly to them did I??? same thing with the Nigerian scammers really, they're all just working & thus making monies for someone else, in the PIGs case its the Govt. But the fact remains it's still the PIGs on the front lines going "out of their way" to make it.

True, but to borrow a bit of the logic *cough* you have used in several posts, there is a lot less danger in patting a kitten than in licking a running chainsaw. Or something. But the police should be more worried about school children speeding while they are playing cricket than someone smashing a bottle on a deserted country road outside a school during Hanukkah. Where was I?
Oh yeah - to say something is not dangerous, then has the potential to be dangerous, then has caused a vehicle with a person in it to catch fire is a process of changing ones mind or being blind to the fact that you were on fucking shaky ground to start with non?
Ooops, not meant as an earthquake dig. But now that's out there - best thing to happen to boy racer fuckwits in Christchurch ever, and fun Christmas times watching their backwards baseball caps smashing into the roof and door pillar while driving at 15km/h

If you remove the vehicle aspect, they will be acting just as badly. I've seen out of control parties where vehicles are not involved, and I have seen large groups of youths smashing bottles and terrorising residents when the party spills out on to the street.

Blaming burnouts for everything is just a scapegoat for a larger societal problem. Penalising burnouts so severely does absolutely nothing to curb antisocial and violent behaviour. It will simply move the problem elsewhere. Fuckwits will be fuckwits regardless of whether cars are involved or not. Drunk idiots will be drunk idiots too. Now that the skids don't really happen around Christchurch any more, those same people who used to go to the skids and terrorise residents are now going to pubs and starting fights outside the pubs, or they're going to residential parties and acting just as disorderly.

Few of the problems are actually caused by the drivers of the cars, as the drivers are usually sober. It's the drunk passengers who are the ones that smash bottles and assault people. True, if the driver didn't drive out to the skids then the drunk passengers wouldn't be there, but if the driver drove the drunk passengers to any other public place, they would act in exactly the same way. It's not really fair to be comparing drunk idiots who are passengers in a car to a "boy racer".

Modern cars have much better brakes and suspension, too.

Read reply #1 in this post.
Question who the hell did you get to type that reply? Its a different argument than you have used in the past, I would actually like to think it was you and for once you had put a little thought into your argument.

You say and you are partly correct that much of the worst of offending is committed by the drunk passengers in the cars, however the driver has a responsibility here, not that different to the host of a party. If they think their friends and that's what they must be to be travelling around together have potential to start damaging other peoples properties then the solution is simple, take them home or dont take them in the first place.

Its the act of spinning tyres for the purpose of display that causes the congregations, its the fact there is a congregation the brings the drunks and stolen vehicles.

And again a skid is not a burnout, I know it to much for you mind to comprehend but the term burnout actually comes from a form of motor sport, and is not a skid.

As to the brakes and suspension argument well physics cant be altered and it still takes time to brake, braking systems altered to adjust bias so one can hold the front brake on, I have seen vice grips applied to lines to achieve no back brakes, or complete removal of the rear brakes. Better suspensions are ruined by hacksaws and gas plants attacking the springs, the removal of shock absorbers.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

    Where do I start.

Had 10 years every Saturday and Sunday of groups of them in noisy modified POS driving past my house at 0200-0400 hours every weekend. Having to go out on Saturday and Sunday morning to pick up the broken glass and crap they left behind after their little park up's outside the local Fire station. Going for a ride only to find out that most of the parking areas around where I live have had oil tipped on the road and that not only is the road slipery byt the road surface has been damaged.

true there is nothing wrong with having fun, but motorcyclists (mostly) aren't dumb enough to congregate en masse in the wee hours performing burnouts in public places.

They may however on very rare occasions speed a little

We have a nice circular roundabout placed conviently outside our house. People like to think that doing donuts, or trying to cut the roundabout and go round the turn as fast as possible is fun.

All this at midnight onwards? Just plain fucking annoying and stupid.

As revenge a block of pine got thrown through one of said cars rear windscreen. Never to be seen again.
I never get lost. I go on adventures
