That is very cool, those blokes make it look easy.
But please, it's FREERIDE, not Freewind, uuurrgh, shudder, not even in the same ballpark.

    morning rant

notice that to help the ad reinforce the 'free' aspect of the bike the guys have
    1/ no tools
2/ no drink or firstaid gear
3/ no upper body protection at all

hell they dont even have to let their bikes warm up before thay can start pulling wheelies

I'd refuse to ride with ill equiped riders like that (mate can I 'borrow' a drink.... have you got a tube I could use...)

cool bike - unrealistic and irrisponsible ad

why isnt my spell checker working - I'm doomed

You mean you didn't see the full film crew, with any drink you could want, a full KTM factory parts truck and mechanic, the support helicopter, and paramedic team standing by? Mate, with what those guys bring on the ride, why would you not ride with them? They might also teach you a few tricks too

    Oops!
I wonder if/when it will be released here? And, if so, whether it will be road-legal?
Apparently, it is very light too.

Marks, I have to agree they make it look fluffy ... but it aint real.

See also new proto type or new model bikes in adds never have mirrors or number plate assemblies that hang to the ground, and if it is a Ducati it already has homigroni and DP parts splattered all over it.

My rant .. back to work now, as you were.

    Fuel injected, 28hp, 5L tank, MT43 tyres.

    I'd hit it.

Their website has both street and offroad version. 99kgs is pretty damn light!

    not without -

1/ a box full of condoms, dental dams and 3 types of antiseptic lube
2/ a full medical report including AIDS test
3/ a note from my Mum

P.S. KTM Freewind sounds like a Womens fanny pad.

Is it light?? My 200exc is 97kg and 40ish odd horse.
But in saying that this looks like a very trials based bike with the low horsepower I'd suspect it is very linear with large low down torque.
Damn good for learning skills on but not sure if It'd be my choice for fanging around the sandpit, Thunder or Kimmies??
Or the style of riding we mostly do around here.
Horses for coarses though probably not much you couldn't climb in that thing!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
