PS Dont worry, the guy gets up and walks away (the first still looks bad but he's OK)

Yep, you've definitely been punched in the head too many times if you think that's worth a laugh... could've been his friends and family going to a funeral, would've been a bit like Joe's I expect.

/edit: Maybe it's funnier with sound?

What is it with that corner?
There are so many Youtube clips with bikers dropping it there.

Lighten up ... Its nothing like the same.

Theres hardly a major road around ChCh that I can ride down that hasn't seen some kind of event I was personally involved with. Ride long enough and you end up with a bunch of ghosts riding at your shoulder - you deal with it or stop riding. For some people appling a little humour is a way of dealing with it.

Most people are when they hit one and walk away.
Its only when someone doesn't that anyone cries bloody murder about a vehicle being prevented leaving the road and dying because THEY HIT something.

OK, I know I'm a noob biker, but I don't see why he lost it there or what went wrong? The video doesn't show the lead up but it doesn't look like he was going too fast, or in at the wrong angle ... just looks like he leaned over and fell off ?

The legendary Mulholland Drive I believe - the only fault with the road is that it has corners.

It is a muppet mecca, with wannabe Rossis coming from all over, to take turns at trying to get their knees down.

It's well organised, with the riders queuing up for their turn to fall off, and cameras at key vantage points to capture to idiocy.

Yup!, hit the nail on the head there mate.

Every wannabe yank racer "tries" to ride that road (with no skill or experiance...just a good credit card!)
Got no sympathy for rich idiots wreaking geogeous machines trying to be "cool".

just gotta go on youtube and watch the REAL riders carve that road up! (it IS a bikers dream road after all)....but most of them, like this clown, are going slow and yet completely out of control with no clue how to ride a bike around a corner!

....such a waste of a ducati! (and crashing it like that is just a crime!)

Looked to me like he locked the front wheel and it tucked under. You can see the skid mark in the slow-mo replay.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes

is this the same corner? I read some of the u toob comments and they seem to suggest that corner is offcamber. The patch of new seal might have something to do with it too.

I do feel sorry for Ducati guy, and believe me I've had my share of muppet offs. And I do feel bad for giggling.

But shit, its only a bike, he walked away: thats a good outcome.

    Check this great save:

I had sort of figured that was the case.
