thanks for the feedback one and all (have been offline for a while!). The Aprilia drops down the list (regrettably) - I hate being off the road due to poor back up service, which is why I probably won't buy another Piaggio when present scoot gets old and tired, despite otherwise liking the brand.

+1 on AF1 in the states. Anything you need in 5 days or so. Cheaper than sourcing locally and much much quicker.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

I also have found AF1 to be fantastic. prices are great. When the racing went off the road the parts came to $19500 through NZ. I could get the same parts through AF1 for around $9000 plus freight. Their forum provides answers and instruction for most maintenmance issues.

Tuono's are great bkes and for the most part very reliable. I have to rely on Red Baron at the Mount for service (tuning with the Ape software) or NTB in Hamilton seem to be switched on as well. been waiting 3 months for red Baron to sort out the latest update for their software which did not work. Sorted now aparently so a tune and confirmation that I am on the "B" map is going to be booked in.

Then again, if you can acquire Aprilia parts, I'm sure you wouldn't have to buy half a bike like Triumph are starting to do. Maybe a slight exaggeration there, but this is KB so perfectly acceptable

Well that ZX10 (08) for $14,750 ride away is rather cheap. Still don't think I could live with the shame of owning a Kwaka.
