    Blah Importing motorbikes to NZ

    Hi all,
i just bought 3 bikes and sent them to NZ, now apparently after all my research i need a statement of compliance for the brakes. Obviously coming from Thailand they are to Japanese standard but i still need a Statement of Compliance???
Does anyone have a copy of 1 that thye could email me please? Or where i could get 1 as Blue Wing Honda has refused obviously for parallele importing and in Thailand they don't want to sign anything?!

    Any help would be appreciated!

Yup, I've got one. How much are you offering for it?

The only thing i could possibly other you is $1 symbolic dollar just for the effort of scaning it and emailing me.

    thanks anyway.

Soooooo, you want to import bikes for sale, completely bypassing the legitimate importer and retailers of the product, so you can make a couple of bucks, and want the necessary brake dec/compliance docs for nothing? So you can make a buck or two?

Yeah, go suck a dick. Blue Wing are right not to offer assistance, I wont either.

How about if you want to import and sell new bikes in New Zealand, you outlay the appropriate funds and apply for an import licence same as all the other distributors had to.

Statements of complience are for individual vehicles ... not one form that covers ALL vehicles ...

These requirements have been around for some time now. Your fault ... and YOUR problem ... because YOU didn't do your homework prior to importing the bikes.

Yeah, don't know what happened there.... I typed the words 'with only one person' after that text but it disappeared. Have edited it now....
