Im thinking about getting a steering damper for my yam, and after a good search, I see there are many many options.

Basically my question is: would a steering damper of say a 2003 gsxr 600 work if it was mounted to my bike (2001 R1).

If it WOULDNT work, can you explain to me why? - thanks
why not just ebay one thats made to fit your bike and get the right brackets for it when ya do, then ya wont have to mess around trying to jimmy one up to fit..

but they make the world of difference, i had a "bitubo" one on my old 00/01 R1 mounted at the front of my gauge's between my top triple clamp and speedo just about the fairing bracket and it was sweet there, but ya can also get them mounted up next to the tank, after you get one put on, ya will wonder why ya aint done it sooner

I know exactly why I havent done it sooner - $$$$$$$
which is the same reason I might end up getting one that wasnt originally designed for my bike.
have spent a fair bit of coin recently on it
