Looks like delo 400 is the equiv to Shell Rotella which is all the rage on Thumpertalk, might be worth a shot.

you have any info on the difference between 400 and silver relating to oil standards/bike suitability?

i've been using 400 for about 5 years but recently the warehouse mostly has silver in stock and i thought i read somewhere thats it's not so suitable for bikes.

    cheers

I find if you go for a semi-synthetic blend of 10w-40 you can't go wrong.
Try supercheap or repco and you're sure to find something with this combo for a good price.
Castrol 4T is not semi syntetic nor is the Delo mentioned above
