Otherwise referred to as "A 9mm haemorage" - saves on cost of endless appeals etc.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Let his loving whanau do it. You know, the ones that didn't give a shit about him when he was thieving. We'll still be paying for him, but it's bound to be cheaper at home.
While I think that there is a certain poetic justice about him getting a natural death sentence, we're all dying - including all the other inmates - why should he get time out of prison just because he has a potentailly shorter life span? Or is the idea of prison to teach him some new crimes he can try once he gets out (so we've got to make sure he gets out soon enough to be able to try them out.)

He violently attacked someone - deliberately. I would personally prefer to see him jailed for life on that count alone - then his terminal illness would be a blessing for the system - he won't be living "off the tax-payer" for long.

Because he wants to die at home, with his family. Part of the price for his crime is that hes going to die cold and lonely in a cell by himself, without his family around. I'm happy to pay the extra taxes to keep him in jail just for the satisfaction of knowing that he's going to die alone in their, and that the mental anguish from that might actually be a real punishment for comitting a heinous crime.

No, that is inefficent. Base of the skull is the correct place. In theory, y'don't even need a bullet in the cartridge. Just the impact of the exploding gases will sever the spinal cord from the brain stem.

To borrow from "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels":

I dunno what's scarier, this job or your past...

If you kill 'em, how do we get 'em to repay the damage they've done - as compost they're inferior grade and not worth much per kilo...

Remember, you can shear a sheep yearly but skin it only once.

    Cool

The parents dont want it on his death certificate stating
    "Died in Prison"...

He is in Auckland hospital at the mo under guard... so whether it be Auckland hospital or Prison hospital.. he is gonna die.

He and his brother beat the crap out of a service garage attendant...
He was given 5 years jail time... let him do the time.

If he spends all his time in Auckland hospital, the parents can visit him whenever and die in his mummies arms as he wants to. Hell she can visit him in the prison hospital anytime and he can die in her arms there as well.

    Should he go home. NO.

The government have had 3 cases like this in the past few years.
One got declined. They have to really prove that he is gonna die within a short time... and that its not a con.

I do know of some people who are told they have 6 months to live and they last over 2 years..... so how do we really know when he will die.

A friend of mine got a tainted blood transfusion during the Falklands War - was HIV positive for a large number of years, got full-blown AIDS then went into remission and is only "HIV positive" now - still alive, has watched a lot of his comrades fall to AIDS in the intervening time. Is married and each day he has with his wife is an extra blessing for them both - there is no guarantee how long you will last with even the nastiest terminal illnesses. According to the "experts", this Scottish Soldier should be at Tir n'an Og by now, head-butting Cu Chulainn and screaming "Stetch thes, Jimmeh!"

Put the crim back in prison hospital and let him serve out his time - the poor bastard he assaulted deserves some sense that "justice" is being served. For all we know he'll survive long enough to go and ruin someone else's life.

Always wanted to try that but was never in the financial league that could afford to blow up a perfectly good pumpkin.

.303 through a tin can full of water has a neat geyser effect...

The report and recoil also has a great effect on a total newbie, too. (we figured he might find even the .22 off-putting so we put him straight onto the lightened SMLE but only because we hadn't twigged to adjusting the gas regulator on the L1A1 at that stage... )

Nope - and he regenerates faster than the T1000 so you can't kill him. He must have some weakness but it's probably some weird meteor rock or rare element that isn't very abundant on this planet.
