Hey is there anywhere around Wellington, or the closest place i could go to practice?
Thinking about converting again to a motard but would really like to get some track practice in.

Yeah same!
I know that the buckets used to run a motard class at the slipway track, now they're at the kaitoke kart track I dont think they do - certainly not the days I was there watching recently.
May be worth contacting the bucket guys though - they might have a motard day...?
Other option if my wheels are here and on in time is the Pacific club track day at Manfield on the 14th. - Not exactly local (I'm in Pram) but could be fun.
I have noted that Vic club dont run motards anymore sadly, so I was wondering what class my soon to be motarded DR650 bike will fall under? F3 as its a single maybe? or in with the 600's? maybe even the F1's - eek! Would it even be eligable for pro twins ?
Sorry to hijack the thread with those questions, but I'll certainly need some practice anyway!
cool i didn't realise there was a kart track there. i will have a wonder up at the weekend and see if they do anything for motards.
Do you know of any websites of bikes/parts/gear in NZ
Not having much luck myself?
Nice 1

The Pacific Club run a Motard class as part of the Summer Series. These are between Manfeild and Taupo. There is the Track Day on the Saturday followed by racing on the Sunday, here's a link to the dates for the Summer Series: http://www.sportsground.co.nz/files/...38ZZKENQYP.pdf and here's some more information : http://www.sportsground.co.nz/files/...44KCXFVIXM.pdf
Also the club runs hillclimbs in summer, which is open to type of bike. These are usually based around Napier & Hastings area. Next Hillclimb is Sunday 11th March, Seafeild Road. The road is just north of Napier. Keep an eye on www.pacclub.co.nz for other events
