That is correct. What is a little surprising is that the LTSA allowed Outlawtorn onto the course if he didn't meet the requirements.

Thats what I was thinking steved. He should be saying thanks
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

The instructors there seem like great people. Their administrators need flushing and renewing.

Thanks? I think bloody not! I have paid good money to be on those courses and have held a car driving license since 1996, (South Africa and New Zealand drivings laws are exactly the same, except they kind of obey them here) I should be allowed to do the course irrespective, what good will 2 years of driving experience in NZ do me when I'll be on a bike most of the time. It's all a bit cock-eyed and hasn't been thought through well at all.

But anyway, I finally have my full license now, I'm happy as a pig in shit, I'm test riding loads of bikes (cruisers only) and am looking forward to getting and nice big cruiser over the coming weeks!!!!! Woo hoo!!!
I ride the dirt, I ride the tide
I search the outside, search inside
I know I'll always burn to be
Remind me of what left this outlaw torn

Go and see someone from the Consumers Instatute. They will tell you if you can claim your money back. FAIR GO might also be interested. Nothing like a bit of 'bad press' to make some of these fuckers cough up.

Actuall, I have had a bit of dealings with Fair Go, and found them not to act fair at all and leave vital parts out of an "investigation"

I agree that Fair Go is an oxymoron.

OMG.... you just saved me $285.... I'm in a worse situation than you. Was about to book a passrite course for late this month and do my full on 26th Oct when my 9 months would have been finished... I have it worse because im only 18 and have never had a drivers license, and god, thes god damn stupid under 25 rules are driving me up the wall... 25+ do your course and any bike you feel... 25+ do you license in stuff all time. I'm and damn good rider why should I suffer...

BTW sorry for hijacking your thread, got a little steamed.

It's all about the statistics. The LTSA (and insurance also) seem unfair when you're young but they always have to make rules for the group, not the individual.
