    My Honda vfr 750 qwestions

Hi i got it at home in my garage qwestion i cant seem work out how to get the seat of its stuck at the back
cant seem to find and levers or catchs to realease it , it lifts from the tank area okay just at tail section

I got most the fairings of to get to the forks one fork leg actually snaped right through theres 20 mm gap and can see the inside fork spring on the right inner tube

I tryed start the engine but i assume battery needs charge as lights just dim and the starter doesint try wind at all

The release for the seat is the same unit as the helmet lock, just turn the key the other way. (If it's the same for the RC36 as the older RC24)

RC36 has a little lever behind the seat/helmet lock, early ones had a hoop on them, later ones were a little lever with a foot/tag, turn the key and pull down on the lever.

I've got an owners manual for one on the computer too.

Yes but the energy was sideways so that better than pushing the forks back and the fork leg snaping realeased some of it

Just case getting it mobile and feeling what handles like i guess if it all good i be happy if not i get measured and
see if can be tweaked back

I been out sence for over 20 years in new bikes so no worries if you think help ur most welcome to ... appreciated all help got already

i put the pics of the front rim as bit worried might not be safe or pass a warrent as got one dent by where beads onto the radial tire
and another on oppistie side where ground and quite sharpe edges which chould cut into bead left disc is rooted its bent to hell

Am not even sure how wheel disc got damaged hiting the car bike was on its right side and left disc damaged werid unless car ran over the wheel but then be reall munted and its not.

I just about got forks out undone all the bolts forks wont slide out any ideas i got clip on on right of those spring clips are neat design very hi tech

Sorry to hear about the crash. had a similar experience a few years back, took me a while to find parts etc....

Try Bike busters, he had 95 vfr parts, although I did take a lot of them including the forks... sorry.

David Silver spares are cheap and have very good postage times (www.davidsilverspares.co.uk)

I also have a service manual (soft or hard copy) for the rc36 if you need it.

My bike had to have all new front end (brake calipers, forks, wheel) and all new plastics (some were able to be welded and some just thrown away) Thankfully the frame and tank were ok.

I have put some pics up in my gallery with the end result.

PM me if I can help in any way.
