The fork legs may be crimped against the clamps.
Take the top clamp off, undo the bottom clamp and take the whole lot off and go from there.![]()

Should i buy this frame as mine has as mine has few areas of concern to me the hadstock moves freely ,
feels right .but there is the fact that the fair stay is bent out shape to extent that instrument console is at least 30 mm to close on left side it causes the clutch assembly hot the speedo caseing , and where that is bolts see centre spline in the picture
looks a little suss not quite inline with headstock , and where 2 of the casting ridges between headstock and main spars have what apera to be slight creases am not sure meant ot be like that one on trademe appears to be the same , might be cast this way
any help apprciated
I know few bits pieces that are know to be bent forks whould it be advisable to get bottom triple calmp when a get my replacment forks or just take them of and inspect by eye whould be good engough or get checked at bike shop engineering

ps in the picture of the frame on trademe seems to have the same crimp on that surface on both sides where cast rib is welded to the farme
your most welcome too have look yes the right fork has been torn and sheared of so that alot brute force acting on
area with some strenth too it been front back force like in most impacts it whould bent the front wheel and pushed the forks
in diffrent area , and yet it was sideways but still pushed front wheel into the rad and the bent the headers flat
so your saying buy the spare frame in case ? i was going get forks in diable one disc brake as to damaged to leave in it grip the disc flick me of run one disc on front ride it see how it feels first what ya think ?
Oh right read it again yes the steering stem the bolt that inside the steering head i imagine it be bent but be see that visually so pay
to take it apart . the steering moves freely and feels smoth so imagine that the frame headstock must be level and strait at least was ,
what i was concerned about the bottom triple clamp whould be bent at the edges where crimp the forks the bolts where loose, i mean less than hand tight not sure weather owner undid them to acess damage or did to try get some sterring movent or they might been striped with the forces
The triple clamp under the stem must be okay as doesint bind at all .
my first thought was to bash fairing frame into line with a hammer bar but i cant with bike just sitting on mx5 rim
I taken it of and need to held in vice at diffrent points and maybe heated as well as its quite strong and many diffrent spars
Hope to get the right foot rest welded as where pin slots in is snaped of . whould be easy enough if foot rest didnt have to move up and down
Getting lug welded on might be bit to small area to work with plus i havent got missing piece either have to be made

yes got feel for former owner nice guy i brought this bike from loved his bike so twit wreaked it with one moment

bike i think did well to brake from 70kph down to 50 in short split seconds u have to react myabe 5 or so 10 if you lucky
I hit car at 70 kph didnt even have time to gte my hand onto the brake it was like 123 bang felt impact through the bars was huge 123 i was getting up from the road surface bike was totaled forks so bent bike feel over when somone tryed but it on centre stand , am sure glad never got bike back though i whoudint want ride same bike again after that.
Got new bike week later and loved it rode it for hours great stuff fresh start , wont own silver motorbike or car
Know bad luck and think coulor not stand out one either

I got the forks ordered from shop in the uk costing me 563.00 nz its the freight aghhhhh
Thats forks top yok bottom yoke 1995 vfr 750 i iamgine be the same as the fn my model 1992
Then got get front dics mudguard is 180.00 to get plastc welded that without getting painted which it need
as broken in 4 pieces not cheap so far looked at 1,500 with bike cost and say worth max 2,500 to seel it maybe just 2000

Different model - there's 1990-1993 (3rd generation of VFR), and 94-97 (4th generation). I can't recall offhand, but I don't think there was any change in fork tube size/length/ However, seeing you're basically getting the whole fork, you'll probably be OK and it probably won't matter if there are any differences. Wheels are the same size.

Its all good dude i looked at the forks and i doubt theres any diffrence apprently i found web page says u
can fit vfr 100 forks also there slight diffrence 5mm in lengh but as vfr owners shorten there forks by this much it whoudint matter and u have to ajust the moutings for front guard also like spacers, cant wait to get it going
just need foot peg and another disc rotor am thinkign taking the orginall to get it in press to true it up as bent in one corner![]()
i found these disc company on ebay based in china good prices
these are floating discs so i dont think i chould use them unless made my calibers fixed

Do research with the disks, they may fit a few other models.

I'll have a look at the mudguard and I know of an excellent plastic welding guy who can do anything.
I will hopefully get out to look at the bike sometime soon haha
