price difference btween the cbr and the gsx is $800 (not that it worries me)

both bikes are kiwi new (dont want another import)

the gsx is a 98 not a 99 as listed

prob gonna go for the CBR due to the fact

    1 year newer
    Brand new tyres
    10,000km less

ALTHOUGH the gsx is a better looking bike =p

I reckon you're probably making the right choice. The CBRs are great bikes.

they are both great bikes, and as I said earlier, you probably cant go too far wrong with either of them.
Just remember the KB rules - buy a new bike and you have to post photos of YOUR bike with a naked girly on it.
    or else you get banned.

Yeah they get a good write up, did a VIR, and seen its been re-registered, Could be that that plates just went did, or could be that it was stacked, Either way it affects the resale, DAMN

With re-registered bikes, it is quite possible that the original plate was one of those hody (sp) big square plates...
I've done 2 like that - cos they're ucking fugly
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

You don't need to re-register for that tho... I've had my plate changed on two different bikes... just went and said I need another. Standard plates aren't re-printed, so you get another.

    I'd agree.

But there should be a note in the database as to the reason? Used to be, at least in the case of written off/plates handed in.

Theres no choice, it comes down to the sort of rider you are.
The year and k's really don't mean that much.

yep highly likely, Ive done the same, costs about $12 to get a new plate, the square one was fugly on my cbr600 F2, so got a newer one.

not necessarily. my cbr went thorugh 3 plates when I had it. started with the square one, I got a newer shaped one cos it looked nicer, then I had too much fun riding and forgot to rego it, so had to re-do it, 3rd plate, nothing dodgy, just lazy. plenty of people park them up for a while.
An inspection and test ride of the bike shoudl quickly and easily answer any questions about previous damages.
