OK. Maybe y'all saw something I missed but that didn't look like any sort of basic handling event to me. The size and uniform nature of the bikes and rider's gear plus the presence of the audience indicates to me that that was graduation demonstration from some sort of police or military riding school.

I've seen a number of those videos and haven't seen any sign of a police or military uniform anywhere among the audiences.

I might be wrong but I've always been under the impression that they are part of a graduation process for normal civilians completing a motorcycle riding school.

Yep, part of the basic riding skills course - graduation ceremony.
Link to site here (makes more sense, well slightly, if opened in google chrome which also translates it.) Not sure what a One Dimensional motorcycle is though in the footnote.

Reckon this should be a must for training here. Note also that instructers are advertised for their high level of competition sucesses.

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I have watched several of the individual competition clips and was thinking, "Yeah but you'd need a special bike."
And of course many do use purpose built bikes, eg VFR 400s & NSR250s sans fairings but with high bars

Then I found a clip of a guy doing it on a Speed Triple.

That would be a bike that insists on bringing a pillion when you want a solo ride and refuses to talk about it's servicing and maintenance issues when you get back.

Says it's a "Bike Day Parade" at a Riding school.

So it's most likely a demonstration put on by the instructors.
