    helicoil m14 x 1.25 pitch kit

    Does any one have a kit in this size? got a sump drain thread on its way out . happy to make a donation.....not a size I think I'd use often , be nice if i don't have to buy kit for one off use.

    WOW.... thats a fine metric & 14mm in a heli coil..never seen one in any kit..
    Not to say there isn't one...

    14x1.25 would be dam close to 9/16" UNF thread....

    14 x 1.25 is a spark plug thread & a very common size in Recoil applications. The coils come in different lengths too, which a lot of people don't know. That said, most of the kits in shops will be the standard 1.5xD but the packs of replacement coils aren't expensive. 80% of the cost of the Recoil system is the oversized Tap.

    Try an engine reconditioning shop, they should have them. Used to fit heaps of them in a previous life.
    I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

    That will teach you for using the 6 foot 3/4in breaker bar for tightening the sump bung!!

    Not sure if its original sump plug , only engages half avail sump thread by looks, never been nice to tighten since i got it. Decided to fix it before it does fail. Has hex head, so only use small allen key

    Went out and brought helicoil kit today. dropped bike on its side and did in place. Mint result , very positive when tightening up. So drop me a line if ya need a dr sump done and close to chch.
