I've moved over 40 bikes with North Island Motorcycle Movers (Dennis) over the past 12 months. NEVER had an issue nor heard a single bad word back from any of my customers. Can't recommend him highly enough.

That being said, if you bought a bike and it was a "to door" price, then your contract is with the dealer. Ring and let him know the issues.

If it's only a half hour trip, why couldn't you go to pick it up?

    Thumbs up

With all due respect there Virago, if the bike was supposed to delivered to the guys door then that question goes a ways down the line.
First question. was it a to your door delivery?
Second question, why hasn't the bike shop sorted this out for you already?
Third question. please do tell us what happens next!
I've used bike transporters before and even when I've received bikes in damaged condition they have been repaired in good time and well.
If this co needs a rev up, heres as good a place to kick it off, but only when you're in full possession of all the facts.
looking forward to hearing from you again.

I had this company shift my CBR from aucks to welly. No problems for me. Seemd a nice guy in my dealings with him. But mine was a very straight forward delivery.
All the best and i hope it all works out in the end

I agree with ya Jimmy , hes a good bloke and so is Dean but i might add that alot of his work is possibly for bike shops and as hes got a gruff outer shell he comes across as unhelpful . Maybe the bike shops are different to owners .

agree that you should expect the bike shop to sort it out - you might find that the bike shop didnt give clear delivery details, and the bike transporter might be playing the man in the middle.
half an hour is only half an hour, you'd think he would just run it out at the end of the day and be done.

I would be keen to see how this one pans out.

So,....it says on his website that deliveries to "rural addresses" can also be arranged. Making it sound like it is another planet he has to deliver to in those cases.
Just what is it about a house in the country that this guy finds so frightening? Is it more expensive, more complex, more time-consuming? What is the reason? He can move it from Hawkes bay to Canterbury....but because it is rural it suddenly is unachievable?
