city to city is easy, you take a full load of bikes on a long drive. rural stuff can be a pain, if its half an hour each way, and 10-15 minutes to unload the bike, let the owner check it, and get your way bill signed, its an hour and a half out of your way of a normal delivery route. its something that should be accounted for when quoting a price. He needs to shut the fuck up, deliver the bike, and go back to the bike shop to re-negotiate payment for services with the rural delivery in mind, shafting your end customer is not the way to do business, as in this situation, both the bike transporter AND the motorcycle business that sold the bike and arranged transport are getting a bad rep.

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Lol. I can understand that mate. Bear with me, I've been 7 days on the wagon and am just an argumentative, cantankerous cunt right now. You've every reason to be pissed off.

With regards to the GTR, I saw one doing a wheelie off the Melling lights this morning

    all good

found its in secure storage..in CHCH...Dean his son will deliver it here on thursday..now looking at it all retro-ly..its all the salesmans fault..with a bit of niggly on Dennis part..he had 6 bikes to deliver in a rush down here and get back to welly..no excuse for hackles up..BUT..thats kiwis..always looking for the sideways left hook..In the end the salesman sorted it with a phone call from me..But it didnt have to be this way..if all were well informed!

ride hard or go home.......and good luck on the wagon mate..you falls off..you gets back on...

I believe Heinlein quoted Cheops' Law - "Everything takes twice as long and costs four times as much as first budgeted..."

    Hope the bike arrives safely!

I guess it may be...but what if it was Auckland - spread between say Manakau, Hendersen and Milford. Wouldn't that be more time-consuming than say: 2 inner city drops in Palmerston North and a rural drop out of palmy - say my place..which takes 9 mins to get to the inner city, but I'm on a rual delivery? Surely a large metro. series of drops would be worse potentially?
