    Thumbs up Who's got a TL1000s or TL1000r?

    Hi guys & girls

I love the big twin and have a red 97 which I really enjoy.

I am trying to locate a few TL's around the Bay of Plenty area (Tauranga) for general rides, modding tips, coffee and the like

I have belonged to tlplanet.com for a while now and the amount of info on there is huge for the big twin, but I would also like to hook up with a few TL's in person to ride with.

    Any takers?

I ride up around the Corromandle quite often.

Thanks for listening and get back to me

    Cheers

    SAUL,

Not up your way, i scoot around on the wild west coast - Sth Isl.
Glad to hear you are liking your 97 Tiller. I got a red one too. A 1997 V model. It was one of the machines on the first container into NZ. After all the Suzuki NZ recalls - tank, dampner and two more sets of ECU's it has run awesome.

I will post a photo some time

Okay mate that will be great

Tyres, mods and gas are an issue but the worklife balance that this outlet provides more than makes up for it.

Hey Saul, go the TL "S", how long have you had it for man. I live out aucks way and regularly attack the coromandel on my TL, so if you wana hook up sometime for a ride let me know mate. Anyday's a good day for a ride, i work nights you see. Rain or shine i couldn't care less.

You ever need help or advice on ya TL i'd be happy to help out whenever.
Tillers are rather hard on rears, i got 700km outta my last one only 3 serious rides and 1 putt to work. Just as well i do some part time work at a tyre shop huh.

See you and your red beast on the road sometime, i don't know what colour mine is, some say green, some say yellow, i settled on frog snot green.

P.S. Don't drop a valve on a TL, shit gets expensive then. Watch the side stand switch, sucks when it fails during a high speed get away. And also when wheeling don't put too much weight on the single seat crowl, it snaps off and bounces down the road. (just as well i got a spare one).

    Later man
GSXR wiping the shit that is that Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki off the road since '85'

    Talking Hi loose bruce :spudwave:

Sounds good mate, I will do that

At the moment I am getting over an off and trying to get my leg and bike back into shape, (I am in a leg splint which is a bit of a bummer), but I am pretty keen so we will definitely hook up in the near future.

Your tyre wear is a concern, was that a Super Corser SC1 or something?

I generally get around 2500Km to 3000 Km on my rear for road us.

Tyre shop eehhh we may have lots to talk about.

Have not seen you on been tlplanet.com but your name rings a bell?

That is a brilliant site for tl specific ideas

    ?

    Cheers mate
