My fatty is in a secure, undisclosed location up in Auckland- but since I live in Dunedin I may attend the rally on my Fireblade. Of course, I'll park it far away from the maddening crowds in a feeble effort to avoid a stomping.

hahaha, mate they won't let The Blade in so you won't need to worry about a sacrificial burning LOL.

I will be there on da Buell, gonna take the old girl (X1 Lightning)...ironically they can't refuse entrance to Buells!

I am debating whether or not I wear my 'FUHD' t-shirt... (kidding!)

Hope to catch up with ya Scummy and CB

We are running a free raffle for everyone on their way south for the HOG Rally.

Visit or stay at any Top 10 Holiday Park from February 9th to the 16th and pick up your free raffle ticket(1 if you just call in to visit, 2 if you pay to stay the night).

The more Top 10 you visit or stay the night at, the more chances you have to win.

Raffle draw is at Rolling Thunder Harley at 35 Manchester Street in Christchurch from 5pm onwards(all day free BBQ/drinks...free beers from 5pm).

    Prizes include:

free set of tires(to the person who collects the most raffle tickets across the Top 10 holiday Park network).

the rest are randomly drawn from entries:

free year's HD Insurance(courtesy of Swann Insurance)

free cash vouchers(thanks to Top 10 Holiday Park Network)

free R/T shop vouchers($1000 dollars worth)

a bunch of Top 10 memberships(courtesy of Top 10 Network)

    -----------------------

We're also doing a Thunder Ride INTO Dunedin:

    Time: 2pm Friday February 17th

Place: Palmerston 50km north of Dunedin

Deep South HOG will be sending a few pers up to welcome us, and lead us into Dunedin to kick the Rally off properly.

He'll have his suspicions ... but he will prove he has a sense of humor ...

Proof of anything else ... will no doubt be up for public debate ... (even here on KB )

I'd say that the most common vocation of those I know personally is Armed Forces or Ex-service personell. A couple I met last month were doing their last ride before returning to Iraq. HARD case blokes.

And there are professional folks and part timers who attend too. A diverse bunch,
I'd agree...although I'm a bit biased being a member of the Patriots Defense Force Motorcycle Club(non back patch).

Lots of current and prior service folks riding.....quite a healthy percentage on Harleys(ball park half or a bit over).....but heaps on other brands as well Triumph, Jappers, and the odd BMW.

The number of folks in uniform riding motorbikes has EXPLODED in the past 10 years.

Well I am hanging out for a weekend off. The scoot has new tyres and I havent had a chance to scrubb them in.

Been doing a lot of extra hours at the new job lately, I have never been in a place where so much equipment had basic faults that have not been resolved.

Going to head off after and come back via Invercargill, Wanaka, Hast and Arthurs pass.
    Just another leather clad Tinkerbell.
The Wanker on the Fucking Harley is going for a ride!

That should scrub those tyres in nicely.
