Well hog is not for everybody.
The nats are a cross between a trade show and a party than a traditional mc rally.
    Just another leather clad Tinkerbell.
The Wanker on the Fucking Harley is going for a ride!

Sorry not to have caught up, but I've been working the gig pretty hard.
Have hooked up with scummy a bit though.

No dramas on the ride was the report I have.
No worries - will see you on your next junket...

A friend of mine is the official photographer today - Sharon (skinny ginga chick) - first time on a bike apparently. Hope she's done okay.

Not my video, a video taken by one of the members of www.southernrider.co.nz ,

    http://youtu.be/3E3r92rpq4E

For those that are interested in watching it, its taken from the top of the southern motorway just before they come down the hill to the oval.

Too much waving going on IMO though..

    nope. all good.

I was riding tail end charlie and there were no offs on the thunder ride.

So thankfully no need for a meat wagon, although I heard of one off on the way to the rally and a broken pelvis.

I also met Big Dave briefly at an intersection.

So that's a first for me. Immediately recognizing someone on a bike in the rain at a red light just based on posts in this thread.

I hope everyone has a safe journey home.

And what are these HOG rallies like? Am I making a mistake to assume that the whole HOG thing is super-duper gay and hide my patch at the bottom of my undies drawer?
    As mentioned by Flip.

Different to your 'normal' rally but still heaps of fun (unless you're a miserable 'glass-is-half-empty' sort of git).

Have good entertainment and a band for all tastes (unless your a spotty faced oik or generally under 35 years old.)

A few people here and there that could be seen by some as posers (why would anybody need to wear fingerless gloves to eat a 'sit-down' meal??) - but nobody there cares, after all people are people...and we all have a bit of poser built into us.

    'cept me of course...

IMHO some people in this world give too much credence to what 'other might think' about them...

It is indeed. When it's 12c, you can put another layer on and get warm. When it's 31c and you're overheating...without air con you're fucked.

12 degrees? You should come back when it gets cold and you can walk across the harbour.

Atchally, I didn't think it was cold. Jacket, tee and draggins was comfy.

It was just slippery till the road dried out.

Long as it's dry. The humidity is what fucks with me most. In '07' I rode through the Nevada Desert in 48c heat. That fucked me. Took me all of five minutes to empty my mini bar on arrival.
