    Riding the Rockies, summer 2013?

I am off to the US and canada for 3 months next year .... june thru August... tentative plan is out of san fran across to the rockies then kind of zig and zag back and forwards over the rockies all the way up into canada as far as I can get ... then back down via the coast.... vancouver ... seattle etc... Interested to hear of others experiences and advice... I still have to decide whether to ship my bike , buy one over there or maybe do a swapride with a north american headed this way.... etc etc ... very flexible on plan at the moment ... ideas , advice etc welcome

You might check out the "Shadow of the Rockies" trail... I mapped a big chunk of it with Sam C. the father of the 'TransAm Trail" ..

It starts in El Paso, TX and we ended in Wyoming..I think Sam has finished it by now...? I'll check.as I am headed to the states in April...

    Check it out: http://www.transamtrail.com/about/

There are a couple of passes in Colorado that might be a challenge on a big Adventure bike..But, the rest is mostly great gravel road stuff...

Take it from me..You would love it!!!
