Motorcycle travel show - New Zealand

Ok guys, so I am in the process of trying to swing my own TV show, Mediaworks (TV3 etc..) like the idea and I just need to find a producer at the moment so when I am on the Taupo ride next weekend I will be recording a mock show to send off.

The idea is Bluff to Cape and going through all of the epic roads New Zealand has while at the same time looking at the culture, attractions, eateries, and scenery on the way up/down. That is the basic idea of it, and I know it has been done before, I think it was a little while back though and it was done on a Hardly so I would assume it is all State Highway.

Anyhow, would you guys watch the show if it catered to a wide range of audiences? I would also be doing small cooking shows using the local foods to make easy, delicious dishes just to add a little spice to the show.

So, ideas? Constructive criticism? Just want to flame me?

Once I have made the mock up I will add it to KB so you can get a vauge idea of what I want to bring to the table.

    Go for gold.

    Matt

Bloody good idea Matt, would be a definite watch for anyone I know who rides - be good to cover the full spectrum of Riders rather than the stereotype out there, - go for it!

That was quick haha. Thanks mate, there is a lot of things that I want to incorporate into the show as well so it would definitely not be boring. Would also like to get groups of people out joining me and leading me through their stomping ground.

I think the cook off is a bloody good idea,
also as a Fat Biker, how about a little clip/section for local pie gourmet makers? Example Wellywood we have an indian restaurant chain that do 'curry pies' butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, lamb vindaloo etc.
Even maybe in some areas a short organised ride to show one of the local 'good rides' so we can build up a data base of them? Example the Pahiatua track in the Manawatu.

Oooh New Zealand Pie Run - NZPR haha. Those pies sound awesome, what I want is a butter chicken pie with rice in it! Anybody seen those?

Also, yea that is what I would look at doing, spending time in major cities and the small towns/villages looking at the area etc... especially the roads!

All this massaging of te basic idea has prompted me to finalise the format...

Al Brown, on a motorbike, tours the backblocks, and makes pies.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Sounds like a great show. Better than 99% of the drivel on TV.

Question is, will you be doing this on the GSX250 or the ZZR250... hang about - this is all an elaborate plan to get you a new bike isn't it?!

Haha you figured me out The ZZR is in pieces and doesn't really go anymore, and the GSX will be going in 4 months when I get my Full. So we shall see what happens. Thanks mate, yea I don't bother watching TV for that reason, KB is far more interesting.
