    Thumbs up Many Thanks Folks!

To all of you that have left me private messages and emails, those that have rung me and those that have spoken with me in person today up the hill and at the cafe, many thanks for your support after yesterdays tragic events at Manfield.

I'm doing just fine, and am awaiting calls from various official parties for questioning wrt the incident.

And rather than seeing people bitching and fighting about various things in the other threads, I'd like you all to spend your time and thoughts a little better on the other riders who were involved and their families, and maybe to putting something positive back into this great sport of ours. Let's not sit here and see it torn apart at the seams. Let's get off our arses and if some procedures are seen to be incorrect, let's get them fixed.

I'm up for the challenge how about you?

    Safety...well I'm drawing a complete blank....

    *More marshals?
*2 sets of first aider groups...eg 1 thats goes to crash site another that stays for "just incase's"
*A few Security people to keep back onlookers....

What I'm going to do is get a copy of the MNZ instructions for running such an event and study it so that I'm not shooting from the lip. Then I'll make some recommendations through VMCC and MNZ.

    My tuppensworth I've stated elsewhere.
Incentives to become a trained marshal Id suggest are important
be it financial incentive or something else that would apeal to the marshalls.
The -laps of the track thing seems to work for trackday--maybee it would work for a racemeeting.

PUT ME DOWN ( how come that doesnt sound right ) anyway I will do the best i can ,,,

Dont let this idea fade away ,,there have been some really good ideas put forward , such as a proffesional race organising place /company /people MNZ ?? it would add to the already horrendous cost of racing ,

but it might be worth investigating

Yeah, I was really concerned for you Mark. I'm really happy that you're ok.

You seem to have a bottomless wallet when it comes to pouring straight bourbon down my throat, can't have that ending any time soon.....
