    Unhappy Sad news from Manfeild

Details are sketchy at this stage but there's been a huge accident in one of the F3 races. 10 or more bikes involved, also, one rider tragically killed.

Racing for the day has been understandably cancelled.

My thoughts are with that riders family and friends.

    RIP

We so don't need to hear that. Gutted.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Anyone in the area, or has phone numbers want to update us, would be good to know it wasn't one of us

RIP to the person though, at least they were doing something they love!

All I can say it Mitch is alright although she crashed. I'm not sure if in the same incident or not.

Red flags were out and the rider was slowed right down, another rider missed the flag and collected the other at speed.
red flags means already a crash happened (for those that dont know)

Jimmy - have you spoken or texted to Mitch? Is Greenie (Craig) all right? I've just texted them both.

Mitch just texted - they're both ok. Phew. I'll pass on more details once Craig rings.

Mate, I can't get hold of anyone. I'm freaking.

I know how you're feeling dude. Hang in there. Please let us know when you hear from Craig. I heard from a third party that Mitch is OK but she hasn't returned my texts.

She returned mine quick smart! She came off, but not so badly as to be carted off to hospital. LB's Hamish is driving her home & she will go get x-rayed at Wellington Hospital when they get there. She's all right, but very sore.

Craig managed to miss everyone & stay on, but he said it was the most awful thing he's ever seen. He's really shaken up, so I'm staying home tonight.

Apparently one dead & 4 in hospital. I didn't ask for any more details because it didn't seem like the time. Know what I mean?

Mitch was checked out by the paramedics at the scene. She might have a broken hand. Bike is probably rooted. I don't know about any other rider.

Condolences to all involved. I hate hearing news like this.

Oh shit !! and I was just on my way over to watch some races too ... TS & MR weren't here as usual so I didn't think about going over until all my work was done !!

If anyone needs a hand to move bikes and equipment then get them to ring me .... I'm only 10 mins away from the track ...

    Shit I hate this
A man can move much faster without a millstone around his neck, so if he gets the chance to lose her he'd better drop her and run like heck !! .. (10cc "Modern Man Blues" - Deceptive Bends)
