Six days of bikes in the Hawkes Bay sunshine helping Conquiztador out with the YMCA holiday motorcross program.
I had a blast, it really was nothing like work.
Thanks Pete for the hospitality, and the t-shirt is a brilliant souvenir.

^ i know what you mean...
Thanks Iain for coming along and helping. Long days and sadly we did not get much time to go riding on the road apart from one evening when we did Ocean Beach and Waimarama.
The programme was a success (as always) and the kids had a blast. Thanks for helping making it all flawless.
Took Vinny to Woodville on Saturday after the programme, but he was out of his depth and only managed 6'th in the 65cc support races (made him 30'th in the 65cc's). Most of the countrys top 65cc 9 - 11 yo riders were there so the competition was tough! But he learnt heaps from that. As he has 2 years left in this class we will be back next year. And with more MX programmes behind him he will be faster and wiser.
PS. I need to learn to make that bacon & egg pie you mastered!
cool pictures, it looks like everyone had great fun.
love those faces in the last pic....!
squeek squeek
Cool to see you guys helping out the younguns get into racing.
The pleasure was all mine. Sounds like Woodville was a blast, pass my congratulations along to Vinnie.
As for the pie...
The secret is getting the ready rolled pastry sheets from the freezer at the supermarket. The rest is easy.
1 pkt Pastry Sheets
1 doz Eggs
1 kg Bacon
1 sliced Tomato
Grease the dish first.
Add a grind or two of pepper but don't add salt with all that bacon!
Bake at 180-200 degrees for about 40 mins. Just keep an eye on it till the top is getting brown.
Now, don't tell Mika how easy it is.
Article in Hastings paper. Sorry bout wrong way, but should open in Adobe/pdf reader where you can rotate 90 degrees.
