My BMW has done 44,000km in about 8 months of riding...
I'd be more concerned about service history. Other than that, it's as likely to blow up as another bike.

Tip smell the dipstick if its scent smells burnt, its possible that oil changes Haven't been done regular
If its in for a service find out if its having the shim's cheaked, as at that milage they are due to be done, what colour is the brake fluids They should be clear if its been loved by past owners
As for the resale that depends on what your paying for it and what you hope to get for it in 10000ks time.....
I put 42,000km on my last bike (SV650S) in two years. It was still in excellent condition when I traded it.
But I did get all services done at required intervals.

Thanks for the tips. Will have a look at it in more detail.
Would be trading in my 2011 Kawasaki Z750 so want to make sure that I'm not going from a perfect bike with 20,000kms and a year factory warranty left, to something that is going to empty my wallet quicker than I can get it to 100... Dealer wants some money on top of the Z750 but not much so i'm not too worried about that.

I would've thought a 2011 kawasaki would've been worth an older daytona, and they want money on top of the tradein, dayum.
