    SMIDSY Splitter

Well it were a close one today. I saw the door twitch and went for the brake just in time to stop pinned against a half open door. The lady was really apologetic "I should have looked, I'm really sorry"... Wished her a good day and rode on. After all these years that's the first one of them I've had.
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Um, why were you that close to a parked car? Or was she throwing herslef from her moving vehicle?

Think I might already know the answer. Were you going down the left side of a line of stationary cars?

I was in between 2 lanes of traffic, both going in the same direction, backed up at the lights... Was that the answer you were thinking of?

One of the guys in our office is dealing with a nasty prang just now.

A cycle with a motor fitted (power assisted pedal cycle) was heading down the left side of a line of stationary vehicles. When passing a big red bus, the dude was nailed by a 4WD coming from the other way, who was turning across in front of the stationary bus.

It's a bloody dangerous game, going down the left of a line of vehicles.

No, but it amounts to the same thing. Bloody risky, despite being legal. Why was the dame getting out of her car unless she was parked?

fooked if I know, praps she thought she'd bail and walk the rest of the way... but there was a guy out of the drivers side of his car a couple of cars before her too. Musta been something in the air.

Certainly is, I was doing that on my cycle and undertaking a bus that was stationary in a queue. Big fat Poly bloke ran across the road from the right, in front of the bus and I rode into him. 90 kg's of me and bike just bounced of the Poly. My fault [I think] certainly wasn't going to argue!

    He was jaywalking...

Don't worry mashman, rastuscat has spent too long on here and thanks to the nutters on here, thinks all motorcyclists are nuts and intent on self destruction. He needs a holiday (or donuts)

heh... this is KB . I wouldn't do rastucats job for love nor money, he deserves a holiday in dunkin donuts. I'm just glad it turned out the way it did the way it did as there could have been a terrible accident.

Would it have been any different if it wasn't a power assisted machine?
