    Plastic Welding in Auckland?

Hey, as the title says Im looking for a place that can do this. Ive got some cracks in my fairing that I want to get sorted so they dont get any bigger (just from time Im guessing). So what kinda places do this, what kinda prices am I looking at, and how good are the results?? (I heard that plastic welding gets brittle after awhile)

Thought Id ask for your opionion before I start looking around.

    Cheers in advance fella's

Search for "fairings" or "fairing repairs" or "plastic welding" in KB - there is a lot of info already here in old threads.

I just got my CBRs front fairing welded together. I had let my friends learn to ride on it (Spleen and Jamezo) and they left a few scratches on it and I pratically demolished it out on the track. I was damned surprised when I got it back from being restored. It looked better than when I got the bike. The paint the guy used was slightly different and the inside of the fairing you could see where the fairing had been cracked before but the decals were still there and it looks stunning. Shame the kickstand had to bloody give way and leave a few scratches on it the other day

    glue it yourself

Bostic Titan Bond supe will glue ABS (it does dry white) seems to be holding my 1300 together. I glue the cracks that were in the fairing when I got in including a sidecover nipple that was off. COst is 8.99 at the Whore house where everyone gets their end in.
If you say either "I can" or "I can't" your correct.

Dont think that glue would help.. I think they are to big..

Crack #1 is about 2 inches long (where my fingers are)

Crack #2&3 are on either side of my rear lights

    I have glued bigger

and even glued back on broken off lugs and they are hold ing good. had them on and off for other reasons. - however if you are in need of welding try Kerry at Motohaus in Western Springs.

the plastic welding will probably cost you $60 if you take it to the plastic welders in glenfiel on archers road (i think) gimme a txt and i'll show you where. I got my front guard done there and after a respray you couldnt tell it had been damaged - it was split in half with little cracks all over the place and they fixed the lot. Just as long as it dont damage your stickers you will be sweet, however i can hookup you up with some cheap remakes thru my mates dad.

You could send a PM to RODDERS. Its not my place to say if he will help or not but it would not hurt to ask as he has the right gear for the job. He may be interested in a cash job
I'm one of the worlds best riders. I can wheelie, I can stoppie, I can stunt, hell I can get my shoulder down. I could keep up with Rossie if I wanted to race.

Then I go from bed to bike and somehow it all turns to crap.

Got pretty good at doing my own. Nothing to it if you have the right rod for it. Willing to teach any of you newbes how to do it yourself if you keen to learn.
