Liam's the son of Mark, from Auckland
Jake Whittaker was the youngster who' dived off the buckets of water into the crowd later in the day - chasing Jarvis or Bolton (oh, hell, I'm confused and can't remember what happened when and who the heck everyone was).

Liam lost his chain in one of the rock gardens in an earlier heat, but had been riding well up to that point.

There was lots of great riding, a brilliant day, and everyone involved did a fantastic job.

The third trials rider was the only one ballsy/stupid enough to try and jump and clear the second skip bin. The first attempt he cased it hard, but after that he could consistently clear the second bin. I think Jake Whittaker may have tried it, but only once. Also noticed there were heaps of cameras around, so I look forward to the official compilation video from Red Bull. There were also camera men from throttle entertainment, who film all the extreme events around the world.
we may just go where no ones been

    Wow what an eye opener!
I actually decided to enter this event.........

........Best time ever! So far out of my depth/skill/ league it was comical!
Nothing to lose but having fun!

Had massive off in the big rock garden lap after qualifying. Excellent bruise on calf!

Qualified 63rd so got to do the second heat.

Lining up with Birch, Neilds? And other much better riders is a bit daunting but made it around for 6 laps and came 2nd to last so was eliminated. Still really happy.

Huge thanks to Kel (k6k) for the spare tube and redbull, WMCC and all of the crowd and helpers!

Was the most "up close" and personal race I've ever been at or done.
Two years til the next one!

That was the second bike in? we got there just as the Honda went for a swim

Did any of the trials guys make top ten? we buggered off after the eight heats (plane to catch)

Great day out, pitty I didn't factor in the daylights saving change before putting on sunblock... Jarvis and Birch were incredible to watch, the Powers cousins were riding great too. Most impressive rider was the trials rider on the 'Repsol' colour bike. He pulled off an AWESOME inside pass around the wall ride. Great show, only watched until 2pm. What were the results?

    Red Bull City Scramble Results
    1st Graham Jarvis (UK)
    2nd Paul Bolton (UK)
    3rd Chris Birch (NZ)
    4th Andreas Lettenbichler (GER)
    5th Jake Whitaker (NZ)
    6th Mitchell Nield (NZ)
    7th Chris Power (NZ)
    8th Warren Laugesen (NZ)
    9th Scott Bouverie (SA)
    10th Karl Power (NZ)

I was impressed with the 2 trials guys . Jake Whitaker gave Jarvis a hard time for a few laps til he flew off the side of the concrete pipes. Lost time getting his bike off a track worker who was lucky not to have got hurt.
Jake Whitaker and Warren Laugesen (repsol gear) were the only riders jumping over the 2nd skip bin ,sometimes just catching the lip but still amazing to watch

pretty shit, havnt ridden in so long my fitness is just not there at the mo, didnt think obstacles were all that hard but within a couple laps i was just rooted - a completely bald tyre and no oil in front suspension prob didnt help, but thats just excuses really

got through qualifying, even after my chain flew off going up one of the log bridges though - that could have been interesting, but pretty uneventful otherwise

got me keen to ride again though, selling a car to upgrade bike
