is chris from KR a ego head

ok heres the go, or iin my case no go.

the guy chris from kiwi rider, who is organising a track day has decided after the 4 of my posts that he definitly doesnt want me at the track. i say its a bit harsh so let rip a bit.

seeing as everyone so keen to be held up an so on
    im a going to enter
then you can moan about how slow i am afterwards. cant say i didnt warn you.
an he decided he doesnt want me there. ffs i was sharing an opinion as this is a website with forums where people voice opinions an stuff. after seeing the slow group at the last day, they were all on big bikes, especially after what happened on saturday i would concerned that guys with bikes 3 times faster are in the same group as me.

Well, if somone can decide from a few posts on a website, wether or not you're suitable to attend a track day, I'd say I'm not welcome either. I aint gonna vote, because I don't know Chris, so can't say. I can say that I wont be attending the Kiwi Rider track day at Manfeild if it's going to become a Gestapo opperation in deciding which outspoken forum members can attend and which can't.

On the other hand, Mikey, you do have a habbit of rubbing people the wrong way. Might I remind you of a certain KB trackday at Taupo?

    Anyways, I wont be attending.

I would say its a wee bit unfair that he wont let you race due to what you right but he also may be thinking of safety vs Attitude. I dont know??

He's taking the time and trouble to organise it.

I can't understand a thing mikey says either - perhaps Chris likes a bit of literacy?

As Oscar says - it's his party....you can have your own if you like.

I'm not going to the track day either.

well from what you wrote.. it seems you are pissing him off by acting like an ego head yourself - so guess thats y he aint letting you in.

yeah but as someone else said above, he is organising it and reckon he got a say in who attends and who doesnt....

after a second read of your quotes it sounds like you just wanted to have a go at some one and if you cant ride around the slower bikes then trackdays are not going to be your ccuppa tea.not every one owns a liter class bike or knows how to ride it as fast as others and if you on a smaller bike you should have some sort of consideration for others on bigger bikes.

Way back when about 100 years ago, when I used to organise stuff like this, I LOVED it when some n00b turned up brimming with attitude...not.

    Just remember two things -

    1. Even today, it's unlikely anyone's organising these things for a living. Most days at this level rely on volunteer help. Perhaps mikey could make things right for next time by volunteering to help.

    2. Motor Racing IS dangerous. Recent events have proved this again. If someone gets hurt, the organiser could be held to account. I have personal experience of this, I was the Race Secretary at a National (and Televised) Roadrace and had a Police Sergeant tell me that one of our riders had just died...

this is the original thread which quotes taken from
    http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...0&page=1&pp=40

i was voicing an opinion about the safety of entering a 250cc bike on to a track like manfield. not quite a speed track but definitly no taupo/roundabout.

the insults didnt start until he let me know i was not to attend, not having the balls to contact me himself either. .hasnt responded to the postive comments towards me, just lurked around.

    homo,

I think you are still missing the point - it's a TRACK DAY not a RACE DAY. Bikes of all sizes and riders of all abilities go to track days to have fun - yes, in the race/fast class the guys are a bit more committed to getting their corners right and going fast, but it is still NOT a race.

I think you will find that most organisers of track days make it pretty clear that they will not tolerate any dangerous behaviour on the track as they end up being the ones held responsible. They are doing YOU a favour by holding a track day, not the other way around.

We have gang members who always turn up to our track days but we have no problem with that because they obey the rules and don't cause any trouble. As far as I know we've never banned anyone from taking part, but some riders have been asked to leave for not obeying the rules.

Perhaps Chris felt that the attitude you were displaying in that thread was indicitive of your overall behaviour and decided to ban you in case you took that attitude onto the track.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
