    Hey guys,
    Whats the main differences between the Kawasaki KX and the Kawasaki KDX? Is the KDX two stroke? What's the power difference? Cheers..

    Both 2 strokes , A KX is a MotorX bike wih no light etc & a KDX is a Enduro bike has lights which you can take off , all so has a heavyier Fly wheel so you can ride round in bush & up hill alot slow with out riding the shit out of the clutch . KX are for racing mainly can do the above on them but better been canned the shit out of on a track .

    KDX= enduro/ trail ride
    KX= MX

    but the KX can be adjusted a bit of trail ride use by a bit of flywheel weight and changing sprockets, diffrent pipe/silencer. the KX can become trail frienly becuase top GNCC racers in the US do it.

    Would a KX80 be the same size as a KDX80 or 125? Is there much less grunt compared with the KX? Cheers

    The KDX 80 may be the same as the KX. the KDX maybe lower for more trail use but the KX125 is way bigger then all the MX 80s

    You will find the the kdx's will be more tourqy, and probably less peak power. KX's will be the opposite, more rapid, more peak power.

    It really depends on what you want it for, and what you like.

    Yep, I don't want to loose the power I have with the KX80. I'm probably going to be doing the odd fun race with people, and trail riding. Can you still use the KDX as a part-time racing machine?

    The KDX will be good for both. my dad had a KDX220 which he used for MX, Trail riding, racing.

    Thumbs up

    My Brother just got 2005 KDX200 and we kitted it with a pro circuit exhaust system and a Vforce reed kit which made a huge differance in performance but to compare it with the kx125 I would rather go the kx125 for the better suspension and kit it. But to compare the stock KDX200 with a Kx125, i would go for KX125.

    You can get away doing a bit vof trail riding and MX on a KX125 but a diffrent pipe for better bottom end would be better for trail riding or cross country racing. have a look at one of the recent Kiwi Rider magazine, I can't remeber which one but they have Steven Croads RM250 Cross Country bike.
