All of the info I can find from DOC and mtb websites say it is accessable by quad bike, so I suspect a 2 wheel moto would be ok.
However, I see there is a few swingbridge crossings, which may inhibit access on a moto. It appears quads can use track up to the Bartrum's swingbridge, and after that, it's about 8km to the Bridge to Nowhere. On foot or mtb.... yeah, nah.
Anyhoo, the bit I really want to ride is Kaiwhakauka track to Whakahoro, which appears all go.

Might have to phone DOC in Ohakune or Nat Park to get clarification.
    Yeah na
If one was to go past the gate at the end of Cootes place you might find it becomes very narrow single bush track. I am not sure but I reckon chickening out and turning a bike around without dropping it 20mtrs of the side of the track could be quite awkward
Big gate at the top end of the track heading down to Depot Rd.
Another big gate with a big pissorff type sign at the same point blocking the bridge to nowhere road.
DOC "activley" discourage Motor Bikes from the roads, to the point where (I suspect) if you rode in there they will track you down and growl ya
    But what would I know

Hmmmmm, ok, back to the planning room. Might have to have a rethink, or just run a recon ride down there and back out same way.

Still do-able on a skinny chook chaser and a run for the hills attitude?
So how did that DOC man track you down then??? Besides, I'm from the South and they can ban me if they like and spoil it for you guys up there
