There is some merit in that statement.
"Pussy", for me, sounds better than "Kawasaki G4TR farmbike"....

Well Chewy seems to be the favourite at the moment, but Jimbo600 is good enough for me. And there wasn't a Jimbo450exc or JimboRav4.

Well after starting on dirt then going to road it amazes me how many go from road to dirt and think they can ride the same way.
All they seem to do is crash big time.

    But good choice in bike.

Have take a few road riding buddies out to pop their dirt cherries and they always struggle. I try and tell them that pretty much everything the know from road riding is wrong on the dirt, but it always takes the first off before they realise they're back to noob status and need to start paying attention when I'm telling them how to ride dirt.

    Like grabbing the front brake.
The best advice i got when starting dirt was tree's never loose.
The best advice I got when swapping to road was everything you have been doing, do the opposite.

Mind you now i have a new KTM I am having to learn all again.

agreed, shills transfer somewhat from dirt to road, but not so much the other way, you will see good mx riders go to be good road racers, but you very rarely see the riders go the other way,

in saying that, i started on dirt bikes and have had more than my fair share of days in hospital because of them

    grabbing front brake
going from a road bike with poor brakes to a dual purpose with very sensitive front brake combined with a split second freakout = FAIL

So many noob fails have been as a result of a panic grab of the front brake. Tony at The Sandpit teaches beginners to ride without using the front brake at all, for this reason.

Mind you for ten years of riding the XR and having limit back brakes and now on the KTM i keep locking up the back and stalling it.
I feel like a noob all over again.
